Dameon Priestly: Life & Times

‘LIFE & TIMES’ Exhibition.

Dameon’s work looks at the lives of others; through the lens of a socio-political vantage point and from a platform, observing cultural change as a result of outside economic factors.

In the work on show from various collections; we see the examination of events as diverse as Capote’s Black and White Ball, the 1960s Civil Rights Movement and also the creative shockwave caused by the imploding New York economy of the 1970s.

We also look at the lives and impact/influence of creatives such as, choreographer Harald Kreutzberg in 1930s Germany,  as well as the anti-art establishment charismatic figure of one Mr Arthur Cravan.
