Carmen Laurent X Maria Baeva

Carmen Laurent, an 18 year old artist, whose exceptional work blends pop art with the dynamic spirit of street art, has chosen the brush as a means to denounce stereotypes between men and women while delivering teasing humorous messages towards men. She explains that the mix of pop art and street art provides an infinite canvas for expression, allowing everyone the freedom to interpret the work in their own way. Unlike many artists, her goal is not to provoke deep thought but to offer light-hearted, visually impactful pieces that remind us not to take life too seriously and to enjoy our unique journeys.

Inspired by the often overlooked objects of everyday life, Maria Baeva is a student artist with an enduring fascination for creativity and colour. In this playful collection of colours and the mundane, she ingeniously represents the ordinary through butts of pop art. From a simple cup of coffee to a pair of car keys, she invites an easy going attitude for her audience, urging them to appreciate the beauty in the ordinary. This call for appreciation reflects her philosophy, that art should not only be beautiful but relatable, transforming the mundane into something more with splatters of colour.More info about the artists can be found here
