A CROOKED PATH - An exhibition of new work by Sarah Odedina in collaboration with ARTI
Tuesday 1 to Monday 7 December 2026, 11am-7pm
67 York Street Gallery, London W1H 1QB
Sarah Odedina has had a four decade career in publishing where she has worked as a publisher of books for young readers working at Bloomsbury for 14 years and more recently at Pushkin Press for over 10 years. She started working in ceramics around 15 years ago and has developed her practise influenced by her love of literature and her admiration for European ceramics spanning the centuries from Ancient Greek and Roman to the present day. Sarah works on her textile pieces in Brazil where she spends three months a year in Salvador da Bahia. The two mediums work well together allowing her to explore ideas and stories in forms that are both utilitarian and decorative.
A Crooked Path is both an exhibition and a reflection of the journey behind it – a celebration of following instinct and allowing ideas to wander. As Sarah says, the title “suggests something of the crooked path I have taken and will hopefully continue to take.”
