Amélie Crépy Solo Exhibition @ London Craft Week

"For the first time, Amélie will present a solo show during London Craft Week, unveiling a new collection of work. Already known for her handmade ink textile wall hangings and framed artworks, Amélie will showcase a collection made of flax, processed and hand-dyed by herself.

Amélie's journey into natural pigments and inks began in 2019, following a severe reaction to a synthetic pigment powder. Determined to find a similarly unique colour with richness and depth, she sought to use only the purest materials and minimal resources. This dedication has culminated in her latest body of work.

"I hope to draw people’s attention to the subtlety and beauty of natural dyes and inks. I want to challenge ideas and perceptions about art and craft, the materials used, where the come from, and how they are created. My aim is to change mindsets and inspire others to consider how art and textiles can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable environment in our homes and public spaces."
