'Green Breeze' Solo exhibition by Hyunia Jung

Hyunia Jung is a watercolor artist specializing in plants and the surrounding natural world. She has loved flora since childhood and enjoys gardening. She recalls the moment she was captivated by lily of the valley when she was 6 years old. She loves to sketch or stroll barefoot through the garden, simply observing the flowers and trees.

From her time in the garden, she has learned:

The plants and natural world appear peaceful - until a storm or heavy rain disrupts them. Yet beneath the surface, they are ceaselessly striving, working hard in the soil. Their goal is to grow fully and blossom before the cold sets in. They are like humans. They also have arrived on this beautiful planet with their dreams to fulfil. I want to capture their vitality, energy and delicate beauty under sunlight and green breezes, while preserving a sense of tranquility.

Through her characteristic style - numerous brushstrokes, vivid expressions, and lively Indian ink penlines, she conveys the emotions and atmosphere she feels in gardens and nature.
