Tender Creatures – Ochre Aches
This debut solo exhibition by Ochre Aches marks an exciting milestone for this promising young artist. She will be presenting a growing body of work in an intimate and carefully curated showcase for a short time. “Tender Creatures” explores the use of animals as vessels for thought, feeling, and deeper reflection, expressed through a surreal visual style that frequently engages with themes of perception and womanhood with a distinctive dreamlike atmosphere.
The exhibition runs from 6th August to 8th August, with an opening night from 4pm to 9pm. Guests are warmly invited to enjoy complimentary drinks, meet the artist, and view a selection of signed prints available to purchase on the night. Rich in symbolism, the works reward close attention and are best experienced in person.
Working primarily in oil on canvas, Ochre Aches draws inspiration from dreams and her love for animals, translating them into compositions that feel both familiar and uncanny. Ochre Aches has a strong background in art and graduated with a degree in Fine Art in 2020, during which time the foundations of her personal visual language began to emerge.
